CONTEXT

The Department’s strategy has set out to significantly invest in program delivery capability and ensure investment is used effectively to protect Australia. An in-house consulting team has been stood up to act as a small pool of internal consultants, guiding and support the department’s most challenging projects and ensure they are an informed and coherent buyer and user of external workforce with an internal delivery capability to support projects.

THE ASK

Flux was engaged to develop a customised Jumpstart toolkit and coaching program, to enable the in-house consulting team to confidently adopt and deliver the methodology to clients. They ran a comprehensive training program, including 10 detailed briefings and three full-day in-person immersion sessions. Participants applied Jumpstart tools and frameworks to a realistic case study, practicing solutions to typical transformational challenges and building practical, ready-to-use skills.

IMPACT

The in-house consulting team are now fully immersed in the Jumpstart methodology, equipped with the tools, methods, and facilitation skills to guide teams through complex initiative planning and delivery. The training has created a sustainable internal capability, reducing reliance on external consultants while ensuring consistent application of the methodology.
